What to Do for Autogas Conversions
There are several stages you need to complete for autogas system conversions in your vehicles, and there are also specific requirements for the authorized firms where you will have your LPG autogas conversions done. Accordingly, these firms must have engineer authorization certificates for LPG conversion of vehicles, employ authorized mechanical and aeronautical engineers, and obtain SMM office registration certificates from the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers. Furthermore, they must possess TSE Service Place Sufficiency Certificates from TSE. Additionally, one of the most important and crucial aspects is to obtain necessary information and services from expert and experienced individuals in the field. After all fuel and other system modifications made to your vehicles, there are documents and services that must be obtained from authorized firms. These typically include installation detection reports, invoices issued by the authorized firm, photocopies of TSE LPG Autogas Service Place Sufficiency Certificates, and photocopies of SMM office registration certificates.
Is LPG Autogas Safe?
LPG is quite safe and widely used. It is produced during the processing of petroleum. LPG systems are stored in liquid form in vehicles' tanks. It converts to gas form in the regulator at the front of the vehicle with the help of hot water. For safety, the latest standards used in Europe are also mandated in our country. Safety is the most important application under ECR 67-01 standards, and LPG tanks do not explode even when vehicles burn completely. In case of major collisions, LPG tanks in vehicle systems remain undamaged. Tanks are equipped with a safety relief valve that discharges at 27 bar when pressure rises. For discharge during fires, there is a lead plug on the multivalve. These plugs melt due to heat and facilitate discharge from this point, effectively reducing the pressure.
Additionally, photocopies of engineer authorization certificates for LPG conversion of all vehicles, photocopies of AİTM LPG serial modification type approval certificates, photocopies of serial modification vehicle conformity certificates, and importantly, warranty certificates must also be present and obtained as part of the essential procedures and information.
