What is Menopause? What are its Symptoms?
Menopause is the natural cessation of menstruation in women, meaning they can no longer have a menstrual period. During this period, the ovaries slow down the secretion of estrogen and progesterone hormones, and completely stop them with the end of the menopausal transition period and the beginning of menopause. The age of entering menopause occurs at certain ages due to hereditary and racial reasons. While the average age in our country is 45-47, the average age in Asia is 51. Besides these, due to hormonal disorders, the age of entering early menopause has dropped to 30-35 in our country. Women who experience hot flashes, sudden sweating and chills, bone sensitivity, and extreme irritability during menopause can delay early menopause with medication if they consult their doctors.
